The 1990's were productive years of great new adventures for Mary Lou.  She had studied in Taiwan, learning and applying paper cutting, and she had also made great innovations with Chinese water colors, water color pencils, and botanical illustration.  She was president of the Utah Watercolor Society, founder of the Ching Hai Oriental Painting Society (CHOPS) collaborating with Ning Yeh and other artists, and teaching in her studio.
